Software Simulation and Modeling
Robotic simulation and modeling are two processes used in the development phase of a robot that increase the productivity, reduce costs, and decrease the time for robot cell implementation. Furthermore, simulations can help a programmer test various robot models, test various product sizes and shapes in a ‘virtual world” to verify the robots effectiveness and capability, without the cost and effort of procuring equipment.

By creating a graphical representation in two or three dimensions for a robot cell application, a programmer can test the robots reach, speed, function, accuracy and interaction with other equipment during the development process without physically enacting a robot. The simulation program tools are used in various scenarios of developing the programming code for a robot, and often the simulation produces a good foundation of the actual robot program, thereby saving time on the installation job site.

TransAutomation Technologies programmers utilize FANUC Robotics RoboGuide family of offline robot simulation software products built on the Virtual Robot Controller. The HandlingPRO module of RoboGuide allows users to simulate a robotic process in 3-D space or conduct feasibility studies for robotic applications without the physical need and expense of a prototype work cell setup.

In the development and integration of robotic palletizing and de-palletizing systems, we utilize PalletPRO simulation software to completely build, debug and test a palletizing application offline. The data created in PalletPRO is then be downloaded to a real robot controller containing the PalletTool software, saving time on getting your robot working for you.
